What is CBD e-liquid?

CBD e-liquids are a vaping product containing cannabidiol (CBD) extracted from hemp and specifically formulated to be consumed with an e-cigarette.

CBD e-liquids are identical to traditional e-liquids, but instead of nicotine, CBD is added. So you'll generally still find the basic fluids vegetable glycerine (VG) and propylene glycol (PG) in varying quantities, plus flavorings (if it's a flavored liquid), then CBD extract.

Unlike CBD oils, CBD e-liquid contains no fat, which would be harmful to the lungs. CBD e-liquids must have a uniform structure and not separate into different layers.

You'll find many CBD-related products on the market, but not all of them are suitable for vaping. Make sure you buy an e-liquid specifically designed for vaping, as hemp oil, for example, is not designed for vaping, nor is CBD oil.

CBD content of e-liquids

The quantity of CBD contained in e-liquids varies, and each product indicates the CBD content (in mg/ml), as if it were a nicotine flavoring. Some users increase the strength of their CBD vapor e-liquid over time, i.e. they increase the milligrams, which is the opposite of many nicotine users who aim to reduce their levels.

What does CBD e-liquid taste like?

Naturally, CBD is slightly bitter, and some extracts accompany CBD with flavors reminiscent of hemp. In CBD-flavored e-liquids, the taste of CBD will not be obvious, as it will be masked by strawberry, menthol, cherry or any other added flavoring, but in unflavored e-liquids, the taste of CBD will be recognizable, although it will vary according to brand and product.
