[COMMUNIQUE] Cannamarade, join the Cannaparade!
For the 22nd edition of the march for the legalization of Cannabis in Paris, the CANNAPARADE 2023 will run from Place de la République to Place de la Bastille on Saturday, May 27.
Festive and political CANNAPARADE gathers every year in the streets of Paris. With its sound-system floats, this demonstration calls for a change in policy to regulate the cannabis market.
Coming soon Germany will legalize, with precautions worthy of scientific experimentation. Visit Luxembourg and the Czech Republic have announced that they will follow the example of Uruguay (2014), Argentina (2007) and Brazil (2008). Canada (2018), or Malta (2020).
To improve public health and safety in France, for the French and European reform of drug policies, to achieve the “Sustainable Development Goals 2030”: “Cannamarade, joins forces Cannaparade !”
This rally is part of the international «Drug Peace March 2023 - Global March for Cannabis Liberation» or «Million Marijuana March» event, known in France as «Cannaparade - Marche Mondiale pour la légalisation du Cannabis 2023», renamed “Cannaparade 2023″.
In Paris, as in Rio de Janeiro, Auckland, Berlin, Lima, Tel Aviv and Prague, we are calling for drug policy reform and fairer, more effective regulation, especially of cannabis. Since 1999, these rallies have taken place in over 300 cities worldwide, usually on the first Saturday of May, and in Paris on the last Saturday of May.
Programmed sequence
- Gather at Place de la République from 1pm, with the Soundsystems of Etat2nd and Koalisons, led by the Tarace Boulba brass band to lead the “patientEs impatienTes” march.
- Procession departs: 2:30 p.m.
Around 4pm: Arrival at Place de la Bastille.
4pm to 7pm: Speeches by representatives of associations, trade unions, politicians and artists, and amplified music concerts (until 8pm).
The demonstration will end at Place de la Bastille with a static rally, information stands and speeches on behalf of the various organizations involved.
Moreover, this year is particularly marked by protests against the French government's reforms, which reinforces the search for convergences with movements bringing political proposals into the public debate that will be welcomed as part of the 22nd edition of the World March for the Legalization of Cannabis in Paris, Cannaparade 2023, on Saturday May 27.
The slogans used during the march will be as follows: Decriminalization of use - National public debate - Therapeutic cannabis - Prevention without stigmatization - Self-production & Cannabis Social Clubs. For French and European reform of legal and illegal drug policy.
