Naturalpes, pioneer of the CBD industry in Switzerland, certified B-Corp company
Naturalpes—a pioneer in Switzerland’s CBD industry—announces that it has been certified as a B Corp™.
B Corporations (or B-Corps) are a growing group of companies that are reinventing the business world by striving to be a force for the common good.
Because to reap the benefits of CBD, it all starts with farming the land using responsible and sustainable practices. From seed to finished product, we work locally and through short supply chains to minimize our environmental impact and promote our region’s expertise.
Naturalpes is B Corp certified for meeting social and environmental standards stringent standards that reflect its commitment to goals other than shareholder profit.
B Corp certification applies to the entire company and covers five key areas of impact: governance, employees, the community, customers, and the environment.
The certification process is rigorous and requires a score of more than 80 (out of a total of 200) and to provide evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices—particularly regarding energy procurement, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity, and corporate transparency.
Naturalpes now comprises a community of more than 6,400 companies across 89 countries and 160 industries. The B Corp community reflects the broader economy, with companies of all sizes and from all sectors. Among them are well-known brands such as Innocent, Patagonia, Alpro, Weleda, Evian, Nespresso, Raiffeisen, and Volvic.
The recent focus on the hemp and CBD industry makes Naturalpes’ B Corp certification a significant milestone not only for everyone who enjoys the many benefits of CBD every day but also for market players, and signals a shift toward greater accountability and transparency in the sector.
Sébastien Chahidi, Certification Manager (SMEs) at B Lab Switzerland: “Congratulations to Naturalpes on their B Corp certification! Achieving this certification is an important milestone in their journey of continuous improvement and collective action. We are delighted to have such a committed company join the B Corp Movement in Switzerland.”
Johann Boschung, CEO of Naturalpes, states that «this certification recognizes a genuine corporate culture that prioritizes the environment over profit. Since hemp is, by definition, an environmentally friendly plant, the industry can and must implement best practices for the planet.».
