A special breeding program combined them into a new, stable variety featuring all their desirable qualities, Double Banana Kush.Growth pattern of Feminized Double Banana KushFeminized Double Banana Kush is 95% indica. Its growth pattern reflects this genetics: robust, compact and fast. It is also enhanced by the hybrid vigour that new California Indica genetic material brings to the resulting variety. It can be grown in a bright greenhouse or even outdoors, in a warm, sunny climate, to increase yield. The strongest, most resinous examples of Double Banana Kush are almost always seen in indoor crops under artificial lighting.During flowering, plants produced from the original Double Banana Kush seeds can reach 150 % of their pre-bloom height. Their clones, on the other hand, generally double their vegetative height during flowering. Most Double Banana Kush phenotypes have less vigorous branching than Banana Kush. This is particularly the case when they reach small or medium sizes during flowering. This variety is ideal for »Sea of Green« (SOG), »lollipopping« and »supercropping« cultivation techniques, thanks to its rapid flowering, compact stature and good production on the main stem and upper branches. During flowering, Double Banana Kush performs similarly to Banana Kush, but with significantly more internodal space in the later stages of its flowering phase (seven to ten weeks). Flowering plants cease their vertical growth at the start of this phase, but instead produce large clusters of conical flowers that »burst« at each node and bract, before spreading along the main stem and upper branches.Some phenotypes of Double Banana Kush initially produce small calyxes. These swell magnificently in the final weeks, dramatically increasing the volume and weight of their buds. Large or small, the density of resin glands covering the calyxes of Double Banana Kush must be seen to be believed. At harvest time, the dark green foliage of this variety is smothered by a thick layer of glistening trichomes. This gives the plants a frosted appearance that can even appear iridescent due to the light-refracting properties of the resin glands. Mature trichomes of White Label Double Banana Kush often change color from clear to golden, rather than amber. Harvests are generally generous, especially if carried out with the appropriate level of care and attention. The effect, taste and smell of Feminized Double Banana KushAlthough its smell is less growing than that of its Banana Kush relative, the aroma of dried Double Banana Kush is even more complex and appetizing. Strong scents of banana and orange underpin its bouquet, with notes of berries, passion fruit and even melon.
