Cannabis Social Clubs (abbreviated to Cannabis Clubs or CSCs) are one element of a cannabis regulatory system driven by its best representatives: cannabis growers and consumers.
CSCs are non-profit associations that base their activities on the self-supply of cannabis.
CSCs were born in Spain thanks to a long history of legal victories linked to self-cultivation and shared consumption.
Today, they represent a genuine alternative to illicit markets, where users organize their own self-supply, guaranteeing traceability and availability of the substance while reducing legal and health risks. They have also been integrated into the regulatory efforts of countries such as Malta and the Netherlands.
One of the main aims of a Cannabis Club is to promote health and reduce the potential risks or harm associated with consumption, as well as to prevent users from coming into contact with illicit markets, including prohibiting access by minors.
