Feminized Durban seeds

Durban Feminized is a thick, subtropical sativa that grows abundantly in southern Africa and is popular everywhere. This adaptable plant can be grown in any location offering between eight and twelve hours of sunshine a day during the normal growing season. Durban Feminized seeds have been created to produce the ideal outdoor sativa strain for growers of all experience levels. The strain is fast-growing, mould-resistant and yields well, even in wet, cold summers! Durban Feminized growth patternWe created Durban Feminized seeds with the aim of producing exceptionally pure outdoor sativa plants. The mother plant, Durban Poison, is one of the best-known natural strains in the world, and we wanted to make it accessible to our customers. Developed using only specific plants from the Durban family, these seeds ensure that the heritage of this variety remains intact. The plants are slightly smaller than those of other Durban varieties. They also flower more quickly and produce denser flower clusters during the flowering period. Expect to see a substantial main stem accompanied by strong lateral branches developing during the growing season. When flowering is well underway, calyxes grow on the nodes, then spread upwards, filling the spaces on the branches and main stem. The short pistils are often pink or yellow, then darken as they grow. Feminized Durban is a good option for novices, as it resists most of the common mistakes made by growers. Its resilience and reliability mean it can produce significant yields, even in colder climates. Plant growth is stable. By shortening the vegetation period and/or cutting the plants back, their height can be limited to 150 cm if necessary. Using this approach means that the variety is particularly well suited to small vegetable gardens and even balconies. Gardeners wishing to maximize height should plant the seeds indoors in early spring, then move them outdoors as soon as the frosts are finally over, and avoid pruning the plants. This approach creates plants measuring around 100 cm. The size of the Durban Feminized variety means it could benefit from techniques such as training and super cultivation. If growers want to grow compact plants, the Sea of Green (SOG) and Screen of Green (ScrOG) methods can be used. Thick side branches mean that the lollipopping method is generally not advantageous. The effect, taste and smell of Durban FeminizedDurban Feminized produces distinct sweet aromas and tastes with strong citrus and anise top notes. Plants with darker leaves often have a warmer, earthier fragrance during flowering, with notes of coffee, sandalwood and even chocolate.
