The time Snoop Dogg quit smoking for 6 months
In autumn 2005, Snoop Dogg created the Snoop Youth Football League in California, a charitable American soccer league for youngsters aged 5 to 13. Since then, the league has helped a number of kids launch their careers in NFL, and taught many others the value of teamwork, discipline and respect.
Apparently, Snoop didn't really know what he was getting into when he created the league. And more importantly, he didn't know that he wasn't going to no longer able to smoke as much as usual when in the presence of the kids. During an interview on Kocktails with Khloe last week, Snoop admitted that he had had to ban himself from smoking for 6 months after one of his players pointed out that he smelled of weed during the league's first season.
«I came to practice after smoking one day, and one of the kids said, Coach, you smell like my mom's boyfriend,» he told Khloe Kardashian. «I had to control myself. I quit smoking the same day, for 180 days straight. It made me a better coach, a better person, and I quit smoking when I was coaching soccer. Every year, when I coach the kids, I don't smoke, for 3 months every year».
We just wonder how Snoop didn't figure out before that it wasn't a good idea to smoke before coaching kids in American soccer. At least he doesn't anymore.
