Snoop Dogg creates controversy: he smokes in the presence of his grandchildren

Snoop Dogg is no stranger to controversy, especially when it comes to his affinity for cannabis. He recently found himself at the heart of a heated debate after posting an Instagram video of himself smoking a joint in the presence of his granddaughters. One of them vehemently declared, «Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, smokes near my babies» Another questioned, «Seriously... Does he have a joint in his hand in front of his grandchildren? Come on, damn it!»

The incident has rekindled the debate about whether parents and grandparents should be allowed to smoking Cannabis in the presence of children. While some condemned Snoop Dogg's actions, others said it was no different from smoking tobacco or drink alcohol in the presence of children.

The history of Snoop Dogg controversies

It's not the first time that Snoop Dogg has found himself at the center of controversy due to his habit of smoker. In the past, it has had to deal with negative reactions for various actions in in favor of grass, including a viral message in which he claimed to have given up smoking, before revealing that it was a marketing ploy for smokeless barbecue.

In 2019, Snoop drew the ire of many by posting a message on social networks comparing the effects of the’alcohol and cannabis using images of himself and former soccer star Paul Gascoigne. The message highlighted the physical deterioration associated with the abuse of’alcohol while showing little difference in Snoop's appearance over the years.

Wiz Khalifa gets involved

Wiz Khalifa, another prominent figure in the community hip-hop known for her love of’grass, also spoke out on the subject. In a podcast, Wiz defended his choice of smoking openly about cannabis, even in situations such as before a parent-teacher meeting.

«Of course I show up high. They expect it,» Wiz remarked, stressing that he refuses to conform to society's expectations of’education.

«They know what's going on. It's not like in the old days when you were considered a bad parent if you smelled grass».

For Wiz, authenticity is essential, and he refuses to hide his true personality from his children or anyone else.
