Materia is modernizing its manufacturing, extraction and processing facilities in Malta, where the company has received approval for its letter of intent with Malta Enterprises. Materia is about to become one of the first companies to have a GMP-certified functional center in Malta. the European Union (EU) for cannabis in the country, a highly strategic location for exporting products across Europe. - Deepak Anand - Chairman and CEO. Mr. Anand has extensive experience in the European pharmaceutical sector, including the supply and distribution of medical cannabis products across Europe. He is considered a thought leader in the cannabis world through his regular interactions with senior government officials, politicians, healthcare professionals, educators, investors, patients and growers. Mr. Anand was previously Vice President of Business Development and Government Relations at Cannabis Compliance Inc. and Vice President of Business Development at Zenabis, a licensed producer of cannabis. Mr. Pateras has worked in the Fortune 500 healthcare sector, after spending most of his career at Johnson & Johnson overseeing some of the world's leading drug brands and health and beauty products. He gained experience in creating start-ups in the cannabis industry as one of the first employees at Lift & Co. helping to grow the company to over 60 employees, participate in its IPO and secure numerous government contracts. Mr. Pateras enjoys a good reputation in the industry, and has been invited as an industry representative to the cannabis from the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. Previously, he had also designed and taught a course on the fundamentals of the cannabis at George Brown College.
- Dariusz Nieciecki - Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Garbuz is one of the leading entrepreneurs and investors in the cannabis as founder, manager and legal advisor to various private and public cannabis companies worldwide. He has extensive experience in business start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements and passing transactions in international markets.
