Cannabiz, Viceland's new series

As part of its Weed Week, Viceland will premiere its new series, *Cannabiz*, on April 20. The series delves into the French cannabis ecosystem and the opportunities presented by regulation.

From Prohibition to Something Else

France is not yet discussing the legalization of cannabis. Yet all of its neighbors have, at the very least, begun the process of decriminalization. «Cannabiz» shows that the countdown has begun and that legalization is underway around the world—and is even a reality in some countries.

In France, cannabis comes from the Netherlands and Spain, but also from our own countryside. What is the current state of law enforcement, and what are the risks from a medical and health perspective? Over the course of four 22-minute episodes, Cannabiz attempts to answer these questions.

Episode 1 – A Greener World? : In light of the international landscape, why France might follow the path toward legalization.

Episode 2 – The Medicine of the Future? : Medical cannabis: the first example of regulation

Episode 3 – The Green Eldorado? : Based on the U.S. and Canadian models, how France could regulate cannabis for adult use.

Episode 4 – From the Black Market to a Legitimate Business? : What will happen in France if cannabis is legalized? How can we address the issue of neighborhoods that currently rely on drug trafficking for their livelihood?
