CBD crystals: the purest cannabidiol isolate
CBD crystals, also known as CBD crystalline or CBD isolate, are the purest form of cannabidiol (CBD), refined to a purity of over 98 %. Unlike THC, CBD has no psychoactive effects, giving it desirable properties without altering consciousness.
What is CBD isolate?
CBD crystals are a single-spectrum concentrate The final product contains only one molecule, CBD, which is separated from all the other molecules. cannabinoids and terpenes present in the plant. This extreme purity is achieved through a series of successive refinements of a cannabis or industrial hemp extract.
They can be produced from industrial hemp or cannabis, the difference being the initial presence of THC, which is completely eliminated in the isolation process. The final product contains no detectable THC.
Isolate vs full spectrum: what's the difference?
This is the central question for any CBD buyer. Professor Raphaël Mechoulam, who isolated THC and CBD in 1963, initially thought he could create single-molecule drugs. His subsequent research showed that cannabinoids function optimally when combined with other plant components, a phenomenon called entourage effect.
By eliminating terpenes and minor cannabinoids, CBD isolate loses this surrounding effect. On the other hand, it offers specific advantages: guaranteed purity, total absence of THC (relevant for people undergoing professional testing), precise dosage and neutral taste, making it easy to incorporate into food or cosmetic preparations.

How to use CBD crystals
For spraying and dabbing
Using a suitable spray bottle or dab rig, CBD crystals can be vaporized directly. CBD is inhaled without combustion, which maximizes bioavailability, estimated at between 34 and 46 % by inhalation, compared with 6 to 10 % orally. For dabbing, Simply place the crystals on the hot banger after heating it to a low temperature (150-180°C to preserve the CBD's properties).
In the kitchen
CBD crystals are easy to incorporate into your culinary preparations. Simply infuse them in melted butter at low temperature for 5 minutes, until completely dissolved. This CBD butter can then replace conventional butter in any recipe. For precise dosing, use our edibles batching calculator.
Home dyeing
Making your own CBD oil from crystals is simple and allows precise control of concentration. For a concentration of 10 %, dissolve 1 g of crystals in 10 ml of oil (preferably olive, coconut or hemp) in a small glass bottle. Immerse the closed bottle in water at 50-60°C for 10 minutes to facilitate dissolution. Use our CBD calculator to estimate the cost per milligram of your preparation.
In e-liquid
For electronic cigarette users, CBD crystals can be incorporated directly into your e-liquid. Mix the desired dose of crystals with your e-liquid and heat the mixture to around 60°C until it is completely dissolved. The neutral taste of the isolate does not alter the flavours of your base e-liquid.
Effects and properties of CBD
People who use CBD are mainly looking for its effects anti-inflammatories, anxiolytics and soothing. CBD is the only cannabinoid to have obtained marketing authorization as a medicine in certain countries, the’Epidiolex, prescribed for severe pediatric epilepsy (Dravet syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome).
For other indications, research is ongoing. The use of CBD crystals for medical purposes must always be carried out under medical supervision.
CBD crystals and legality in France
CBD crystals are legal in France as long as the product contains no detectable THC (or at least less than 0.3%). They are available in CBD shops and online. Always check for the presence of a certificate of analysis (COA) issued by an accredited laboratory certifying CBD purity and absence of THC.
