Wiz Khalifa launches his weed video game
After having smoked a joint on Pablo Escobar's grave, Wiz Khalifa is back in the news. The Pittsburgh rapper is preparing the launch of a mobile video game. In partnership with free-to-play developer Metamoki, Wiz is further extending his range of derivative products.
Rather like a Pot Farm, the rapper is releasing an eponymous game: »Wiz Khalifa Weed Farm». In this video game, players have to grow and improve their weed, then sell it. In a press release, Weed Farm will give players a glimpse into the future of legalized cannabis. It will show how weed entrepreneurs are seizing opportunities, reinvesting in business and combining returns.« What's more, in future updates, farmers will be able to »expand their operations across the U.S. and eventually the world«.
«Wiz Khalifa Weed Farm» will be released on April 20 to celebrate the smokers' day. On the Web of the Wiz Khalifa application offers numerous prizes for those who leave their e-mail address and contact details. If you hit the jackpot, Wiz will give you two VIP tickets to Colorado with a night's accommodation.
Potential rewards
During this visit, the winner will be entitled to a Cannabis Tour, a meeting with Wiz Khalifa, plus access to his Denver Showcase. The second prize will get to meet him, but without the plane tickets. For the following prizes, Wiz is offering Taylor Gang stickers and apparel.
It remains to be seen whether players will be able to expand their range of weed or whether they'll have to settle for the dreaded Khalifa Kush.
