Noise la Ville: Conference on cannabis in France on November 30
A conference open to the public will be held on November 30 at Paris-Diderot University, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, on the initiative of the Noise, la Ville collective.
The conference organized by Noise, la Ville will focus on the type of regulation France could adopt around cannabis.
As shown by the various cannabis legalization movements around the world, several models can be chosen, each with its advantages and disadvantages. This 2-hour meeting will attempt to clarify which model is best suited to French society.
Cannabis experts
The conference will be attended by health and addiction economists Christian Ben Lakdhar, co-author of the Terra Nova on cannabis and Sébastien Beguerie, CEO of’Alpha Cat, a company offering a method for determining the THC concentration of weed or hash. Also around the table, rapper and former dealer HYPE, Stéphane Gatignon, Mayor of Sevran, who calls for legalize cannabis and finally the sociologist David Weinberger. Hosted by Vice journalist Yérim Sar.
Speakers will discuss the economic implications of legalizing cannabis, from the financial fallout to the impact of legalization on drug traffickers.
