The 9th Cannabis Liberation Day this weekend in Amsterdam
The ninth edition of the Cannabis Liberation Day takes place this weekend at Amsterdam's Flevopark. For those lucky enough to be there, the event is a celebration of international cannabis culture. In a spirit of joy, good humor and tolerance, Cannabis Liberation Day associates hemp as a sustainable resource with the multiple outlets it offers. It's a way of bringing together cannabis consumers, growers, herbalists, craftsmen and coffeeshop employees.
This year's program will include masterclasses. Speakers from the Netherlands, Spain, France and Canada will discuss cannabis and its current issues. Artists and DJs will also be present, and a food and beverage stand will be set up.
The Cannabis Hemp Market will also be open in Flevopark, where numerous cannabis brands will be offering legal products: pipes, bongs, leaves, cartons etc...
Since 2009, the Cannabis Liberation Day has become the largest and most popular cannabis and hemp event in the Netherlands. Visitors and media attention extend beyond the Dutch borders. The event slogan promotes « a free family event in a beautiful, leafy setting with a wealth of information and entertainment in a careful balance between activism and commerce« .
Access to the Cannabis Liberation Day is totally free and open to all ages and nationalities. The event will start at 2pm and finish at 10pm.
