Reminder: Marche Mondiale du Cannabis, 16th edition this Saturday, May 13th in cities across France
After the 16th edition of the World Cannabis March in Paris last April 29th, it's now the turn of provincial cities to take to the streets and demonstrate for the legalization of cannabis.
Chartres (Eure-et-Loir)
The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 13th at 2 PM at Place Pasteur, across from the «Children of Paradise» cinema. However, the musical program has been canceled. At 3:30 PM, the march will serve as a gathering at Place Châtelet to discuss the issues surrounding cannabis legalization. Please note, medical cannabis will be the priority topic.
Lille (North)
The meeting is at 2 PM on Saturday, May 13th at Parc Matisse. The demonstration is expected to end around 6 PM. The gathering will allow for discussions on the issues surrounding cannabis legalization. Information and awareness-raising will be the order of the day.
Caen (Calvados)
For Normans, the meeting is set for 3 PM at Place Pierre Bouchard. The march will begin at 3:30 PM, with entertainment planned and concerts from 6:30 PM until 9 PM. This global march is organized by the Rast'Art Collective, where debates and awareness campaigns on cannabis will also be organized.
Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine)
The people of Rennes will gather on Saturday, May 13th at 2 PM in Place de la République. The program includes a gathering that aims to be festive, with organizers hoping for the same success as the Parisian edition. A debate will be organized: «Why the War on Drugs is a Failure.» Organizations such as the Pirate Party and Nature in the City will lead this gathering.
Toulouse (Haute-Garonne)
In the south, a gathering is also planned. Meet on Saturday, May 13th at 2 p.m. at Place du Capitole. Toulousains want to address three topics in particular: Medicinal cannabis in pharmacies, the decriminalization of recreational cannabis use, and the experimentation of Cannabis Social Clubs.
Poitiers (Vienne)
The demonstration will take place on Saturday, May 13th at 2 PM, Place d’Armes. The Poitiers march will focus on the consumption of hemp for recreational and medicinal purposes. An information booth from consumer associations will be on-site to call for the legalization of cannabis.
Nantes (Loire-Atlantique)
In Nantes, the event is scheduled for Saturday, May 13th, from 2 PM to 6 PM at Place du Bouffay. Information booths will be available, manned by consumers and patients. Reggae bands advocating for legalization, such as «Get Ready» and «Rumble Hifi,» will perform a concert for your enjoyment.
Saint-Flour (Cantal)
In Auvergne, the rally for cannabis legalization will be held in Saint-Flour on Saturday, May 13th at 2 PM at the Kiosque à Musiques on Allées Georges Pompidou. A debate on drug policy will be presented with an information booth to better understand the issues related to cannabis.
