An NGO compares cannabis to the Orlando massacre
Tonight, Rep, Earl Blumenauer, paid tribute via Twitter to the victims of the Orlando terrorist attack.
In his tweet, Blumeneaur condemns the gun lobby and the cowardice of those who refuse to regulate the arms market.
The discussion took on a whole new dimension when, the twitter account of prohibitionist NGO Smart Approach of Marijuana Oregon responded, «You can't support one public health issue, and condemn another. You've destroyed your state.
Over 32k dead from gun violence each year in US. ZERO dead from marijuana. Your comparison is delusional & shameful.

Blaumenauer is one of the representatives who enacted the Measure 91 fully legalizing cannabis in Oregon. Smart Approach of Marijuana, SAM Oregon, on the other hand, is a nationwide NGO campaigning against the legalization of the drug. According to MarijuanaPolitic and Twitter affiliations, the man behind the keyboard is SAM Oregon director Randy Philbrick.
Blaumenauer replies, «Over 32,000 gun deaths in the U.S. every year. ZERO deaths from marijuana. Your comparison is delusional and shameful.»
Burdened with criticism, the NGO reissued a slightly less polemical tweet: «this is the same cowardice as those who refuse to stand up to the marijuana industry».
After probably getting a slap on the wrist, the enraged tweeter published an apology an hour later and deleted his first tweets.
