«Cannabis» Arte's new series coming soon to your home
Next Thursday, December 8 at 8:55pm, Arte to broadcast «Cannabis» series». Forget about chasing big fish and tailing cops, this series will take you from the small-time drug dealer to the kingpin of Marbella and the Moroccan Rif.
A black series
Directed by Lucie Borleteau, the series will be broadcast in three 50-minute episodes. The director of the 2015 César-nominated feature «Fidelio, l'odyssée d'Alice» is delighted to have been chosen. Guest stars include Christophe Paou, Kate Moran, Yasin Houicha and Carima Amarouche. The extras are amateurs, recruited on location.
This fiction is about shit trafficking between Morocco , the hub of Marbella and the Paris suburbs. For filming in France, the production team borrowed the code name «The Princess. Producer Tonie Marshall explains to L'Obs that this code name facilitated access to the shooting location. Officially, the teams were authorized to film in the city of Aubervilliers and Pantin under the name «The Princess».
