5 spooky weed varieties for Halloween
Halloween has been celebrated for over 6000 years. If you're thinking hollowed-out pumpkins, creepy costumes and candy, it looks like you forget something. So here's a list of the scariest trichomes.
Zombie Haze
You'll probably be afraid of zombies crawling out from under your sofa with this variety. The Zombie Haze is a hybrid from Sumo Seeds, a cross between one of the world's best hazes, Amnesia Ganja Haze (itself taken from the’Amnesia Haze), and their Original White Widow (Indian Indica x Brazil Sativa).
The result is a predominantly sativa plant that, without really devouring your brain, will keep a high powerful, unless it's Night of the Living Dead, and you need to seek immediate refuge in a supermarket full of food.
Jack the Ripper
Who would have thought that London's terror could have such a terpenic profile? From the gardens of Weed Nerd and TGA, Jack the Ripper (its English name) appeared in the 2000s. It was an instant hit with connoisseurs. She could have won the Cannabis Cup, but the latter did not yet exist in the United States.
Phantom Kush
A Gift from the Great Ken Estes himself, live from California. Visit Phantom Kush is a cross between a cut from the’OG Kush and a Pink Champagne (Cherry Pie x Grand Daddy Purple).
In 2012, Ken Estes took 2nd place in the NorCal Cannabis Cup, one of the most competitive cups.
Ghost Train Haze
Ready to board the ghost train? Visit Ghost Train Haze is a fantastic mix between Ghost Cut by OG Kush and Nevil's Wreck.
In 2015, its #13 phenotype took first place in the U.S. Cannabis Cup, while the original variety won Colorado's best sativa award.
Cobbler
Who said cobblers were the worst shod? This new variety must have sent shivers down the spines of its creators. The Massachusetts dispensary that sells this Cobbler opened a few steps from the site of the Salem Witch Trials in 1692. Their crossroads Cherry Pie x Girl Scout Cookies is probably the scariest thing to try around here.
