Smoking more weed: more high or stoned longer?
For some cannabis users, the main aim is to smoke as much as possible. However, smoking large quantities of weed, beyond being potentially uncomfortable and sedating, doesn't necessarily work the way you might imagine. So does smoking more and more weed make you more stoned, or stoned for longer? It seems to be a bit of both, up to a point.
Does smoking get you high?
Anyone who's ever eaten a space cake (or several) will have noticed that cannabis can, indeed, get a lot high for a long time.
The body reacts differently if cannabis is ingested or inhaled, In both cases, large doses will produce powerful, long-lasting effects. With a few warnings.
If you chain together several bangs in a row, for example, you could exceed your «high limits». THC acts very quickly after inhalation.
In blood plasma, the research shows that the THC peak is reached about 8 minutes after consumption. Consuming more and more cannabis will certainly give you more effects. But it can also be a slippery experience.
After a certain point, which is not precisely defined and depends on the individual, excess THC is stored in fat cells for later release. THC is not immediately used by the brain all at once.
A high THC saturation will certainly get you high. And even if you reach your saturation point, chances are you'll fall asleep without enjoying the experience at all.
You may also feel more than usual paranoia or anxiety, or feel bad about yourself. These side effects are due to the large doses of THC you've given yourself, whereas small doses usually soothe these sensations.
From nausea may also occur after cannabis overuse.
Does smoking more get you high for longer?
Since excess THC is stored in fat, smoking a lot of cannabis will prolong the effects. Visit cannabinoids remain in the body for a long time, They are then released into the body, for example when you burn fat, for example by exercising.
This second influx of cannabinoids doesn't mean you'll get stoned. But you may feel groggy, lethargic or euphoric a few days after heavy use.
And eating too many space cakes?
Eating cannabis-infused food produces the same effects. If you've eaten too much at once, you may feel paranoid, foggy or even have trouble moving. These effects are often followed by a big, deep nap. The cannabis itself is not lethal, But overdoses are anything but pleasant.
Space food is often more potent than inhaled cannabis. Its effects can last up to 8 hours, and are felt for 1 or 2 days afterwards, particularly in teenagers.
