The best cannabis seeds at low prices
Cannabis seed collectors are often overwhelmed by the vast selection available to them. Which strains should they keep? Which seed bank should they choose? Is it worth the cost?
Here, we present 5 types of cannabis seeds that are ideal for beginner collectors. We took several criteria into account:
- Seeds can be regular, feminized, or autoflowering. Beginners might find it reassuring to have feminized seeds, but there are many regular seeds available that anyone can buy
- The flowering period should be short. A sativa with a 12-week flowering period can certainly produce beautiful buds, but it makes more sense to start with fast-flowering strains, if only to avoid the stress that comes with being a beginner
- The variety should be fairly error-tolerant. Some varieties are very sensitive to fluctuations in temperature or nutrients. The selected varieties are more adaptable.
- The variety must be suitable for indoor cultivation. Just because not everyone has a garden.
- The price must be less than 5€ per seed. Some varieties cost more than 50€ per seed. Although they may appeal to some breeders or professional growers, they are not very accessible to beginners. Don't be fooled by the price, though. The best strains from seed banks aren't always the most expensive.
That said, here are 5 varieties of inexpensive and effective seeds.

- Special Kush #1: This feminized strain from Royal Queen Seeds is ideal for beginners. A compact Indica with small, shiny buds, it has a hash-like flavor and produces very physical effects. One of the least expensive strains on the market.
- Special Queen #1 : Easy to care for, it thrives in hydroponics and in soil. It has hints of Skunk and is available in a feminized version at a reasonable price.
- Auto Massive Bud : Its name pretty much tells you what to expect: big buds. Its sweet and slightly spicy aromas will delight those who enjoy a relaxing experience. This autoflowering strain blooms in about 63 days.
- Royal Medic : A hybrid with a THC:CBD ratio of nearly 1:1, best suited for medical use. It derives its genetics from Reggae Seeds’ Juanita Lagrimosa, with the yields of a Critical. Its aromas are fruity and earthy.
- Automatic Mary: the most expensive in our selection, costing a few cents more than €5 per seed. But this autoflowering strain produces a fruity plant with pleasant effects. It flowers in 9 weeks, with two known phenotypes: a compact, indica-type plant and a more slender, sativa-type plant.
