Snoop Doog or Snoop Lion?
The rapper-producer may be banned from entering Norway since he was arrested there for drug use, but that doesn’t mean he’s banned from traveling. During his latest trip to Jamaica, Snoop Dogg visited some temples Rastafarians and had a spiritual epiphany. Snoop explains:
«I went to the temple where a high priest asked me my name, and I told him, «Snoop Dogg.» He looked me straight in the eye and said, «Not anymore. »You are the light, you are the lion.» And right then, it was as if I began to understand why I had come to this place.”
This revelation led to the album *Reincarnated*, produced by Diplo and Switch under the name Major Lazer, and consisting entirely of reggae tracks. Going by the name Snoop Lion, his adventure in the region of Bob Marley is a complete departure from his image as a notorious gangster.
