Justin Bieber smokes a joint on stage... and the web goes wild.
Two things stood out about Justin Bieber's performance with Rae Sremmurd in New Zealand last week: the audience loved it, and Bieber drank Hennessy and allegedly smoked a joint on stage.
Blogger Perez Hilton, no doubt in need of page views, fanned the flames of this non-event with this headline: «Is Justin Bieber slipping back into his bad habits by smoking and drinking on stage?!». We're more used to seeing this nonsense in the brochures of anti-cannabis associations.
TMZ, America's biggest tabloid, did even worse. «Justin Bieber returns to a danger zone by smoking weed on stage.» Is using marijuana really «a danger zone»? TMZ actually suggests that it's marijuana, not alcohol, that's dragging Bieber down:
«Alcohol is not as alarming as weed. Justin has never stopped drinking, although he says it's not excessive. But marijuana is a completely different story. He lived in a constant haze for some time, partly because of cannabis. He was arrested in Miami for weed use last year and tested positive for marijuana. We're told Justin regrets his behavior in New Zealand and did it as a challenge, but there are clearly worrying signals.»
Or when TMZ plays along with anti-cannabis propaganda.
