Switzerland: CBD cigarettes on sale in July
After launching the marketing of CBD-dosed cannabis, Swiss cigarette company Heimat has launched a brand new product: hemp cigarettes.
These hemp cigarettes will go on sale from July 24. They will be sold in Coop supermarkets, in tobacconists and on the tobacco company's website. In 2011, Switzerland legalized cannabis containing 1% of THC. Each pack of cigarettes contains 4% of cannabidiol (CBD) will be sold at 19.90 Swiss francs per pack, or 18 euros. As with conventional cigarettes, sales to minors will be prohibited.

Since 2012, Switzerland has decriminalized cannabis, and the use and possession of a quantity of cannabis that is equal to or less than 10 grams and intended for personal consumption is only punishable by a fine of 100 Swiss francs, or 96 euros, and is not subject to criminal proceedings. Switzerland has also recently submitted a new initiative to legalize cannabis last April.
Although it is possible to smoke hemp cigarettes, the company warns consumers not to take them abroad if they want to avoid criminal proceedings.
