The 2018 World Cannabis March across the globe
Saturday, May 5th took place worldwide The World March of Cannabis. Hundreds of thousands of people gathered on every continent to call for the legalization of cannabis.

The American continent has massively rallied around the Global Marijuana March, with different slogans for each country.
Canada, which will legalize cannabis this summer, has not escaped demands. The main activist associations They asked that an amnesty for old cannabis-related convictions be granted, which would allow previously convicted individuals to work in the cannabis industry. Many entrepreneurs have also requested that the cannabis market not be reserved for government-run stores.
In Argentina and Peru, protesters have met to call for more research on cannabis and greater access to medical cannabis.’Argentina and the Peru They indeed legalized medical cannabis in 2017, but it is still difficult for patients to access it in all its forms.
In Cardiff, the demonstration was attended by Marc Emery. Cannabis is still illegal in the UK, but many Cannabis Clubs already exist. In Germany, every state has its own parade. About 20 cities have rallied together (Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dresden, Stuttgart…) this year for the legalization of cannabis. The country legalized medical use in 2016, with strict criteria for obtaining a prescription, and small amounts of cannabis for recreational use are no longer penalized there.
In Denmark, between 6,000 and 8,000 people participated at the rally, which started from Christiania, a place well-known to Danish and foreign consumers, ending up under the windows of the government.
