During the lockdown, MrSherbinski offers cannabis at 0.25$ per gram to the most needy
While cannabis dispensaries in San Francisco are currently in operation, With the massive wave of lay-offs in the USA, medical cannabis patients may face a drastic reduction in their income. They would then have to choose between a medical substance that brings them relief and other essential goods.
Mario Guzman aka Mr Sherbinski, whom we interviewed in Paris in early March, decided against it. He has teamed up with San Francisco's Barbary Coast dispensary to offer a compassionate menu to those in need.
«San Francisco has set the pace for the world when it comes to providing cannabis and compassion to the cannabis community.», explains Guzman. «Some of the world's first dispensaries began here. The Barbary Coast is part of that movement, as is Sherbinskis. Together, we've joined forces to show a little love in the best way we know how: sharing our flowers.»
Available from Monday March 30, Barbary Coast customers will be able to purchase 3.5g of Acai Berry for 1$ instead of the usual 75$. The dispensary will not be asking for «proof» to justify the use of this menu and is relying more on everyone's probity.
For Barbary Coast co-founder and CEO Jesse Henry, it was the right thing to do.
«We're thrilled to partner with Sherbinskis on this incredible promotion,» said Henry. «Right now, people are scared and struggling to cope, so it's vital that we bring help, hope and comfort to our community. Let's offer some relief during this difficult and unprecedented crisis.»
Mr Sherbinski is the father of Gelato and Sunset Sherbet. He now operates the Sherbinskis brand of clothing. and cannabis dispensaries in Los Angeles.
