DIVIE raises 2 million euros to accelerate growth in the booming CBD market
Paris, September 28, 2022 – Launched in 2021 by Alexandre Perez, DIVIE has successfully established itself in the competitive CannaBiDiol (or CBD) market. Today, the company announced that it has raised 2 million euros from business angels—including Christian Louboutin—with support from Bpifrance. This funding round will be used, in particular, to expand its product line, strengthen its distribution networks, and continue recruiting new talent.
Alexandre Perez, founder of DIVIE, is very enthusiastic: “From day one, we’ve been committed to helping people discover the benefits of CBD and to becoming our customers“ preferred ”well-being” partner. For us, this means maintaining the highest quality standards: testing by independent laboratories, products manufactured in France, and ingredients sourced from organic farming. It is this commitment to quality that has earned us the trust of our distributors. The milestone we’ve reached today with the entry of new investors into our capital demonstrates that we’re on the right track, and this is just the beginning!”
Christian Louboutin, an investor, said: “I am delighted to support the growth of this young and ambitious French company, which places quality and well-being at the heart of its approach. That’s what won me over.”
DIVIE, the CBD brand that has won over supermarkets
Available for direct purchase on its website, DIVIE products are already carried in more than 150 pharmacies and drugstores throughout France, which have been won over by the brand’s guarantees. DIVIE is now poised to make a name for itself in the mass-market retail sector. The brand won Intermarché’s “Coup de Cœur” award at the Pépites d’Or competition last May and will be available in more than 2,500 Carrefour, Casino, and Intermarché stores starting Monday.
Once again, it’s the company’s approach that sets it apart: the products are Made in France, made with organic ingredients, and each batch is tested by independent laboratories. The result: high-quality, safe, and effective products.
A fundraising campaign to expand the DIVIE product line
DIVIE began by selling oils before launching herbal teas and then CBD-infused sparkling waters to more easily fit into each consumer’s wellness routine. In particular, the products help reduce stress and anxiety, promote sleep, aid relaxation, and support better muscle recovery.
In order to better meet consumer needs, DIVIE plans to launch two new product lines by the end of the year.
DIVIE, a major player at the heart of a booming market
Since its legalization, CBD—a non-psychoactive cannabis derivative (unlike THC)—has experienced unprecedented growth, with a domestic market valued at 1.5 billion euros that is expected to double by 2024. In 2022, more than 1 in 10 French people used CBD.
France, Europe’s leading hemp producer, is thus well-positioned to carve out a prominent place in this market by prioritizing—as DIVIE does—quality and transparency for the benefit of its users.
Joining Christian Louboutin in this roundtable discussion are: Jean-Philippe Cartier, Malo Corbin, Cyprien Fabre, Jean-Conrad Hottinger, Alexandre Mattiussi, Florent Mazeron, Emmanuel Miquel, Isabelle Parize, Pierre Pasqual, and Nicolas Santi-Weil. They join Pierre-Antoine Capton, the’artist Mika and Hadrien Mollard.
