United States: a company extracts CBD from hops
While the CBD industry has grown considerably, both in France and around the world, the recommendations of the MILDECA and more recently directives from the ministry of justice, The aim of the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of Europe is to make CBD products illegal if they contain traces of THC, or if they are derived from cannabis flowers, regardless of the THC content of the plant.
The main French reticence surrounding CBD is linked to its cannabic origin, even though the’WHO deemed it safe and non-addictive, Could CBD from hops be a possible outlet for reluctant countries?
A game-changing invention
Until now, CBD was thought to be present only in the Cannabis plant. But that was without counting on Dr. Bomi Joseph, who while in India discovered a field of Humulus (or hops) pollinated with cannabis.
Hops, the aromatic plant of beer, do not normally contain cannabinoids. Through cross-breeding experiments between plants he grew in northern India and other hop varieties, Bomi Joseph succeeded in creating the first plant that was not Cannabis but produced a significant amount of CBD.
Through an initial partnership with Medical Marijuana Inc. , Bomi Joseph now distributes a CBD oil, dosed at 1000mg, but also containing caryophyllene, a terpene present in many plants including Cannabis, and which therefore gives a certain flavor to the product. Not extracted from Cannabis, the oil is called RSHO (Real Scientific Humulus Oil, is legal everywhere and is not subject to any cannabis restrictions, as it neither contains nor is extracted from cannabis.
A boon for the CBD industry?
CBD would never be easier to extract than when it comes from its plant, namely Cannabis. CBD from hops, or such as several patents intend to produce them, could certainly be a way of getting rid of the weight of cannabis and circumventing legislation restricting the use of hemp flowers or cannabis.
At the risk of seeing more synthetic cannabinoids or adulterated products claiming to be CBD but which aren't? And to see hops bloom everywhere on the ground French?
Or more simply a scam ?
