Oils, strains and other concentrates: The complete cannabidiol (CBD) experience
The cannabidiol (CBD) is a cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. It is used therapeutically to relieve certain types of pain, nausea, and paranoia and anxiety or certain types of inflammation, without having any psychoactive properties.
These days, cannabidiol is available in several forms—including concentrates, oils, and flowers—so you can fully enjoy the CBD experience.
1) CBD oil
CBD oil is generally made from industrial hemp, which contains low levels of CBD. The oil is also legal in France, provided that CBD products contain less than 0.2% of THC and are made from hemp plants that do not exceed this limit. It has relaxing and soothing properties and has been found to be effective for American patients, particularly those people with post-traumatic stress disorder. Various CBD oils are often referred to as «medical cannabis without the high.».
2) Types of CBD

Critical Cure, a CBD-rich cannabis strain
There are many varieties of cannabis that are high in CBD, such as Critical Cure, mentioned above, but also CBD Skunk Haze or Harlequin. Generally speaking, CBD strains are used for medical purposes and offer numerous benefits: they are typically low in THC, making them better tolerated by certain patients who do not want to experience psychoactive effects, and they rely on their pain-relieving and stress-relieving properties.
Just a quick reminder, though: growing cannabis in France is illegal.
3) Creams, sprays, misters… other CBD concentrates
CBD can also be tried in the form of concentrates. Creams and oral sprays contain the same therapeutic properties as’cannabis oil. CBD-rich cannabis creams are very effective against inflammation, pain, and skin problems.
With cannabidiol, you can also choose how you want to use it, based on your preferences and needs. If you’re looking for reliable places—and among those we know of in Paris, the Smoker's Museum, and online at Alphacat (here and here).
