There is such a thing as cannabis ice cream!!!
In 2015, Ben and Jerry, founders of the world-famous eponymous brand, said to each other. open to the creation of a product line infused with cannabis. They haven't done so since, but other entrepreneurs, originally from California, have sniffed out the opportunity.
Cannabis Creamery
Isaac Lappert followed in his father's footsteps as an ice cream maker, carrying on the family tradition for 30 years. When he asked his father how to make cannabis ice cream, the Lappert Creamery has taken a new turn. After deciding to change the family ice cream concept slightly, he added cannabis oil to his recipes. He didn't want to use CO2 extraction, and Marrakech butter didn't mix well with the cream in his ice creams.
According to Isaac Lappert, «cannabis-infused ice cream hits the skull a little faster than other space foods». He told Captain Cannabis from Vice »I try not to buy any more weed when I want to «cure» myself, I do a bit like in Scarface, I dip my nose in it».
On April 20, 2015 Cannabis Creamery won the Best Dessert trophy at Hempcon in San Francisco
Three flavors are now available: coffee, mint-chocolate and red fruit.
Can't wait for the Californian summer, and enjoy it with a good cocktail !
