Cannabic events in 2019

2019 will be a hectic year full of cannabic events in Europe and beyond. Here's the 2019 cannabis events calendar. All precise dates have yet to be announced and will be updated. The calendar of High Times Cannabis Cup for example, is not yet up to date. This is not an exhaustive list, but a summary of the main events.

January 2019

Lift Expo

Lift Expo is probably Canada's biggest cannabis fair. Bringing together amateurs and professionals alike, it takes place in Vancouver from January 10 to 13. If you missed it, don't panic, it's coming to Toronto from June 6 to 9.

Athens Cannabis Expo

From January 11 to 13, Athens is hosting the country's first international fair focusing on the industrial, medical and recreational applications of hemp and cannabis. It will showcase product innovations in the cannabis sector.

Cannabis Wedding Expo

For its 5th edition, the Cannabis Wedding Expo is divided into 4 events in Los Angeles (January 26), San Francisco (February 17), Denver (March 3) and Las Vegas (March 24).

This expo reflects an increasingly popular trend in the United States: cannabis-themed weddings. Dozens of exhibitors will be on hand to guide visitors through their preparations and show them different ways of incorporating cannabis into their wedding. Visitors will also be able to smoke on site, in a reserved area.

Cannatech

Cannatech is Israel's meeting place for cannabis science and technology entrepreneurs. It focuses in particular on technological innovations and medical applications of cannabis. This year, it will be held in Davos, a town in the Swiss Alps, from January 22 to 25, in Panama on February 12 and 13, but it's the Tel Aviv edition (April 1-3) that is undoubtedly the best known.

INDO EXPO

This B2B event focuses on the development of professional networks between the different sectors of the industry (cultivation, processing, wholesale, retailers) and with ancillary industries. It also features conferences and a dedicated hemp pavilion. It will be held in Denver on January 26 and 27, followed by San Francisco in April and Portland in August.

Future Cannabis Strategies Europe

This event aims to bring together European industry leaders who deal directly with consumers. This includes categories such as CBD products, beverages, cosmetics and nutrients etc. The aim is to establish together over two days the direction of the industry, consumer trends, the evolution of the legal context and thus identify existing opportunities on the European market. The event will take place in London on January 29 and 30.

Cannacon

One of the biggest events for cannabis-related products, services and ideas, Cannacon usually attracts over 11,000 visitors. This year, the show takes place from January 31 to February 2 in Seattle at the Washington State Convention Centre.

February 2019

Women Grow

Details of the next Women Gro Summit are not yet online, but it is likely to be held in February, as in the previous year. The summit brings cannabis professionals together in Denver, Colorado, to share experiences and develop their networks.

International Cannabis Business Conference

The International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC) will bring cannabis industry experts from around the world to San Francisco on February 7 and 8, 2019. Aimed at all cannabis professions (grower, dispensary manager, cannabis-related business, association activist), participants will be able to discover tools to develop their businesses and evolve cannabis laws.

ICBC will also be present in Barcelona on March 14, in Berlin from March 31 to April 2, in Zurich on May 15 and 16, and in Vancouver on September 15 and 16.

Cannabis Europa

Another benchmark event for the European cannabis industry, Cannabis Europa will be held in Paris at the Maison de la Chimie on February 8. The conference series aims to bring together industry players to facilitate exchange and support the development of the European therapeutic cannabis industry. A second 2019 edition will be held in London on June 24 and 25.

Canapa Mundi from Rome

The 5th edition of the Rome Hemp and Cannabis Fair will be held from February 15 to 17. It has been bringing together European hemp professionals (growing tools, seed companies, accessories) since 2015, and is growing in importance every year.

March 2019

Stepping High Festival (Jamaica)

The Stepping High Festival is a clever mix of exhibition, lectures and reggae concert, and will be held on March 1 and 2, 2019 in Negril, Jamaica.

Hemps and CBD Expo

The B2B and B2C exhibition aims to bring together CBD and European hemp professionals and showcase their products to the public. The event is billed as the first of its kind dedicated to hemp and CBD in the UK. It will be held in Birmingham on March 2 and 3.

Spannabis from Barcelona

Surely the most eagerly awaited event in the Spanish cannabis world, the 16th edition of Spannabis will take place from March 15 to 17 in Barcelona. The show will feature cannabis-related exhibitors of all kinds: tools for cultivation, accessories for consumption, clothing brands and other solutions for testing the quality of cannabis.

International Cannabis Business Conference Berlin

ICBC Berlin has become a must-attend event for European entrepreneurs and activists. It's also an opportunity for potential investors to find partners. This year's event runs from March 31 to April 2.

April 2019

Cannatech

Tel Aviv's Cannatech is the most recognized as Israel maintains its position as a technological leader in the cannabis industry. It takes place from April 1 to 3, 2019.

Cannabis Science Conference

This conference, as its name suggests, focuses on the science of cannabis. It brings together experts from the industry and ancillary industries such as testing labs, scientific researchers and healthcare professionals, as well as policy-makers and entrepreneurs of all kinds. It will be held in Baltimore from April 8 to 10 and in Portland from September 4 to 6. It attracts thousands of participants every six months.

Cannabis Business France

This conference brings together global cannabis leaders for a series of presentations on the state of the French cannabis and hemp industry. It will be held from April 9 to 10, 2019 in Paris.

Indica Sativa Trade de Bologna

The seventh edition of the Indica Sativa Trade will take place from April 12 to 14, 2019 in Bologna. The event brings together industrial hemp professionals, seed growers and associations discussing, among other things, the legal situation of cannabis in Italy. Attendance is estimated at 25,000 visitors.

Boise Hempfest

An Idaho educational event, Boise Hempfest aims to change Idaho's cannabis laws, which remain extremely restrictive when it comes to cannabis. The event campaigns for the legalization of medical cannabis, the decriminalization of cannabis and the development of industrial hemp. Boise Hempfest will be held on April 20, 2019 in Boise, Idaho.

National Cannabis Festival

Created in 2015 by a group of enthusiasts to celebrate the legalization of cannabis in Washington DC and elsewhere in the US, the National Cannabis Festival has managed to make a name for itself. It has notably hosted the band Cypress Hill and attracts over 10,000 participants every year. This year, rapper Action Bronson, another big name in cannabis, will be present. The festival takes place on April 20.

Hanfexpo Vienna

From April 26 to 29, the 1st edition of this exhibition dedicated to hemp will be held in Vienna at the Marx Halle. The event is expected to attract 15,000 visitors.

Expogrow Irun

The 8th edition of Expogrow will take place in Irun on April 26, 27 and 28, 2019. More than just a cannabis fair, it's an opportunity to meet 150 exhibitors from the cannabis world, in a very Franco-Spanish universe. In 2017, 65% of the 17,000 visitors came from France.

Taking place from April 30 to May 5 in Negril, Jamaica, this festival focuses on nature and wellness, and cannabis of course. It features yoga and meditation programs, outdoor climbing, CBD massages, beach parties, fitness classes, cannabis farm tours, workshops, dance and concerts.

Mardi Grass at Nimbin (Australia)

This peaceful event is organized every year by Australians to support cannabis law reform, celebrate it and educate people about the benefits of the plant. Free and open-air, this event will take place from May 3 to 5, 2019.

La Cannaparade

Like every year now, the French Cannaparade is back in May, on the 11th in the capital and the 4th in the provinces.

Cannatrade

Switzerland too has its own cannabis fair. Since 2001, the Foire Internationale du Chanvre has welcomed European enthusiasts. This year, the fair will take place from May 17 to 19, 2018. It will also be the occasion to publish the results of the Canna Swiss Cup.

Med-Cannabis 2019

The congress will be held on May 23 and 24 in Barcelona. The first edition was held in Vienna and was a great success. It addresses the many controversies surrounding the use of cannabis as a medicine, and brings together healthcare professionals keen to learn and discuss the subject.

16th EIHA Hemp Conference

This conference brings together specialists from all over the world to discuss the latest advances in the hemp sector. It examines all possible applications for this plant, from construction to cosmetics, and from seeds to cannabinoids. The 16^ème edition of the Hemp Conference will be held on June 5 and 6 in Cologne.

Spring Marijuana Business Conference and Expo

Self-titled the oldest cannabis show in the U.S., this business-focused exhibition will feature booths and conferences from June 12 to 14 in New Orleans. The show will also be held in Toronto and Las Vegas later in the year. The last edition in Vegas a record number of entries and the event, organized by Marijuana Business Daily, has become a must.

Hemp Expo

Cannafest Canada 2018

From August 8 to 10, 2018, Cannafest will take place in Grand Forks, British Columbia, in the countryside east of Vancouver. The Festival is centered around rock and cannabis.

Berlin Hanfparade

A demonstration in support of cannabis legalization in Germany, this year's Hanfparade will take place on August 10 in Berlin. The march has been held since 1997, bringing together tens of thousands of people. The march is followed by concerts and festive events, and we trust Berlin to deliver.

Seattle Hempfest

Emerald Cup

The last Emerald Cup recently came to a close, so there's no exact date yet for the next one, which will probably be held in December, again in Santa Rosa. This Cup is the meeting place for Californian growers, celebrating cannabis grown outdoors and in greenhouses, in sunlight and without pesticides.
