Paris 420 Festival: 2 days left for pre-sales!
Internationally, the tide seems to be turning for cannabis: its therapeutic virtues are increasingly recognized, and the criminalization of consumers seems increasingly unjustified. Since its creation, NORML France has sought to change the status of the plant in French legislation. Visit Paris 420 Festival will enable the association to meet the French public and discuss its objectives, the current situation of cannabis in France and its future.
A space for discussion and awareness-raising
NORML strives to bring legal expertise to the emerging cannabis industry and lobbies the relevant authorities to authorize the multiple uses of cannabis. Its battle-horse: the end of prohibition and the regulation of cannabis, but not just any regulation. The festival was organized above all to exchange views on this subject.
It focuses on NORML Talks,The association has invited a wide range of specialists, including lawyers, scientists, psychologists, doctors and others, to take part in debates and conferences on the many political, social and economic issues surrounding cannabis. The association invited specialists from a variety of backgrounds: lawyers, scientists, psychologists, doctors and others. They came from all over France to share their expertise on the issue. On the NORML Talks menu:
- How would you sum up 50 years of prohibition? The aim of this conference is to take stock of legislative (we fear this part will be quickly summarized) and social developments surrounding cannabis in the context of its growing use by the French.
- What regulation project for tomorrow? NORML will present its draft regulations, the fruit of several years' work and reflection on the issue. The draft will then be submitted for debate.
- Regulation around the world: development or regression? The association will return to the ambiguity of recent legislative developments around cannabis, which are both progressive and limited in terms of sustainable, social and economic development.
- Women, prohibition and regulation: has gender equality already been achieved? This conference will discuss cannabis issues from a gendered perspective. The screening of the film Women of Weed by director Wendy Borman.
- Is hemp legal in France? Here, the focus is on the French hemp industry. Oops, we've spoiled the answer to the question.
- Medical use and well-being of cannabis. The association proposes to discuss here the difference between recreational and medical use of cannabis and the problems of patient visibility.
For NORML, the aim is to change the status of cannabis not only in legislation but also in people's minds. This means providing information and raising awareness through workshops and debates. The program includes workshops to discover hemp and its many industrial and everyday applications. As a festival, culture and entertainment will also have their place. The association and its partners have scheduled concerts and comedy shows. On the bill: Daddy Mory, Kacem Wapalek and DJ Djel, and maybe even Noman Hosni.
The festival site is accessible here and advance sales close on march 3!
