Storm vaporizer test
The Storm is a pen vaporizer created by Vapefiend.com in collaboration with its Chinese manufacturer. It is based on the X-Max v2, with several improvements.
Storm look
The Storm vaporizer is made of metal, which sets it apart from the other vaporizers we've tested so far. The silicone mouthpiece can be replaced by a glass one, for a more pleasant smoke and reduced heat sensation. The mouthpiece contains a protective grid, just above the chamber, to prevent your dried herbs from rising up on inhalation.
The heating chamber can accommodate both herbs and wax. For wax, the Storm comes with a small titanium chamber to be integrated into the heating chamber.

Storm vaporizer and accessories
Storm features
The Storm is supplied with :
- 5 steel protection grids
- 1 wax room
- 1 cleaning brush
- 1 stick for depositing concentrates in the chamber
- 1 USB charger + European plug
- 1 battery
- 1 pair of tweezers
The vaporizer can be set to 5 different temperatures, between 180 and 220°C. It takes about 1 minute to heat up.
Battery charge time is 2-3 hours, with a recommended 6 hours for the first time. It switches off automatically every 5 minutes.
The air duct is insulated. This prevents air from passing through the electronic components, which normally guarantees better inhalation.
Using the Storm
The Storm vaporizer is switched on by pressing the central button three times. The small white LED flashes. To switch it off, press 3 times in succession. To change temperature, press and hold the central button for 2 seconds, or 4 seconds if you want to move more quickly between temperatures.
No display or degree settings, but the 5 temperature choices are more than enough for a portable vaporizer.
Flavors are well preserved with the Storm. Mild temperatures produce the best aromas, while higher temperatures produce a heavier smoke.
The battery can be removed and replaced at the end of its life, or you can carry several full batteries.
Storm debriefing
We like:
- metal design. It's also heavy, with a good grip.
- the ability to change batteries
- the price
Dislikes:
- inability to set the time before the vapo switches off
Verdict:
We award a 8/10 to the Storm. No superfluous features, and a solid, efficient vapo. All we ask for!
