Rolling papers to avoid driving after smoking
The legalization / decriminalization of marijuana In some U.S. states, this has automatically led to an increase in the number of drivers who have used cannabis. To raise awareness about this public safety issue, the association We Save Lives has created rolling papers educational materials designed to warn drivers about the dangers of driving under the influence of marijuana.
These rolling papers feature a design that comes to life as the smoker rolls a joint. A slogan reads, «Weed slows your reactions—don’t smoke after driving.» The animation shows two cars approaching each other and eventually crashing into one another.
The goal is clearly to send a message to smokers of Do not drive after smoking. Since the message is displayed just before the user inhales cannabis, the user’s attention is drawn to the image of the two cars colliding.
We Save Lives distributed more than 2,000 packs of these rolling papers to about 30 booths at marijuana during the most recent World Cannabis Week in Denver, Colorado. These leaves are now available directly on their website.
