How to make CBD-infused candy?
If you like gummy bear-style candies, this recipe is for you—with a little something extra: CBD.
Cherry, Green Tea, and CBD
Preparation time : 45 minutes
Parts: 50 jelly bears
Dosage : 5 mg of CBD per candy*
*The strength, of course, depends on your hair dye*
Kitchen Utensils
- Plastic sauce bottle
- Candy Mold
- Saucepan
- Funnel
- Measuring cup
- Whisk
- Spatuel
Ingredients
- 25 cL of CBD tincture. Depending on your tincture and the desired dosage, divide the number of milligrams of CBD in your tincture by 50 to calculate the dosage per candy
- 2 green tea bags
- 3 tablespoons of creamy honey
- 25 cL of coconut water
- 75 cL of tart cherry juice
- 1.5 tablespoons of agar-agar powder or gelatin
Instructions
- Pour the coconut water into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then let the green tea bags steep in the coconut water for 4 to 10 minutes.
- Add the cherry juice, salt, and creamy honey to the saucepan. Stir gently until the mixture is smooth. Bring the mixture back to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer.
- Add the agar-agar powder and whisk constantly for 3–4 minutes. (Note: The texture of agar-agar may not be to the liking of people accustomed to gelatin-based jellies. You can substitute gelatin if you prefer.)
- Add the desired amount of CBD tincture (alcohol-based or vegetable oil-based) and whisk thoroughly until it is completely dissolved.
- Turn off the heat and place the funnel on one of the sauce bottles.
- Pour the liquid into the bottle. Be careful! The liquid is very hot, so you need to work quickly.
- Using an oven mitt or a warm washcloth, hold the bottle and squeeze the liquid into one of your candy molds.
- Place the pan in the refrigerator and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Remove the bears from the mold and store them in an airtight container.
Enjoy one or two at 30-minute intervals.
