Oxford launches cannabis research program

The University of Oxford is launching a research program on the effects of medical cannabis. A budget of £10 million will be allocated to study the effects of cannabinoids on chronic pain, cancer, and inflammatory diseases such as Crohn's disease. The eight researchers assigned to various medical fields are funded by the Kingsley investment fund.

Ahmed Ahmed, a professor of oncology at Oxford, states that ongoing research on cannabinoids is leading to biological discoveries. «exciting».
