Testing the HipVap vaporizer
The HipVap is a portable vaporizer with an interesting design and features.

HipVap
HipVap Look
The HipVap is the go-to vaporizer. Its unique shape makes it very comfortable to hold when in use. The high-quality aluminum finish doesn’t let heat through, which is a major plus. The combustion chamber is well-positioned and easily accessible by sliding the base of the vaporizer (see the unboxing video). Our only complaint is that there isn’t a more practical way to fill it without spilling any. The HipVap is very lightweight, easy to slip into a pocket, and discreet when taken out.
HipVap Features
The HipVap comes with:
- 2 carrying pouches
- 8 cotton pads for oil
- 2 boxes for concentrates
- 3 grids
- 2 additional mouthpieces
- 1 long mouthpiece
- 1 mini-USB charger with plug
- 10 sticks for cleaning the combustion chamber
- 1 rod for concentrates / cleaning the combustion chamber

The HipVap and Its Accessories
The HipVap is all about precision:
- The built-in display shows the temperature to the nearest degree in real time
- The temperature control buttons allow you to set the temperature between 100 and 220°, giving you a wide range of options to suit your tastes and habits.
- The buttons for adjusting the time before the vaporizer turns off let you set it between 1 and 10 minutes. It's a really cool and handy feature.
The red, green, and blue lights indicate the vape's different states, in the following order: heating up, ready for use, and powering on.
The HipVap also features a Safety Mode that activates when the battery is low and the device has not been recharged, putting the vaporizer into standby mode to prevent damage to the two lithium batteries.
Using the HipVap
To say that the HipVap is simple and enjoyable to use is an understatement. It powers on in 5 seconds and heats up very quickly. The silicone mouthpiece is high-quality and easy to remove for cleaning. When you’re done, just hold down the center button for 5 seconds, and the vaporizer turns off. The chamber empties in 2 seconds.
The grille, on the other hand, is quite difficult to remove, and we weren't able to take it off without using a small tool like a safety pin
When smoked, the smoke is smooth, with a fairly pronounced high and a stone that can last for quite a while. The aromas are well preserved. Personally, we like to start at 180/190° and finish at 210° to get the most out of it. The smoke becomes harsher at high temperatures, almost feeling like you’re smoking a cigarette.
HipVap Debrief
We like:
- the option to use oil and concentrates
- an affordable price of 150€
- the micro-USB charger
- long-lasting battery
- the temperature and time settings before it turns off
- the design
We don't like :
- the grate that's hard to remove
- the room that's hard to fill
Verdict:
For this first test, we will award a 8/10 at HipVap.
