Franco of Strain Hunters died aged 42
Franco Loja, half of the duo Strain Hunters, died yesterday, January 2, 2017, of cerebral malaria contracted in the Congo. He was the partner of’Arjan Roskam of Green House Seed Co. in Amsterdam. Franco was breeder head of the company, which has won a number of awards for its cannabis seeds and strains.
Franco and Arjan have spent several years scouring the globe in search of cannabis strains. Their Strain Hunters videos have made their quest widely popular. They had been at the center of an episode on Vice TV their of their trip to Colombia in search of specific landraces. Franco also wrote for Cannabis Now magazine and was a real star at the forefront of new cannabis strain development.
