Cannabis prevention: an ad that's impossible to miss
The Colorado Department of Transportation and the communications firm Amélie Company have created an unskippable YouTube ad as part of a public awareness campaign against driving under the influence of cannabis.
Since the Legalization of recreational cannabis in Colorado, the number of traffic accidents involving drivers under the influence of psychoactive substances has increased. To keep viewers from skipping the ad by clicking the “Skip Ad” button, creators make the “Skip Ad” button move around all over the ad. It’s up to you to test your reaction time.
The message is clear: when you smoke, the reaction time is slower. In Colorado, one-fifth of traffic accidents are caused by people driving under the influence of cannabis. It’s still more fun than our French public service announcements road.
