5 best practices implemented by Naturalpes to combine ecology and economy
Naturalpes, a Swiss pioneer in the production and processing of CBD cannabis, has recently earned B Corp certification, thereby recognizing its deep commitment to environmental protection and its desire to prioritize the environment over economic imperatives.
By adopting five rules that prioritize the environment over the economy, Naturalpes paves the way for sustainable business practices, in the hope of inspiring other companies in the sector to follow suit, to protect plants, people, and the planet.
The first rule established by Naturalpes is to give priority to local partners, thereby reducing emissions and energy costs associated with their operations and transportation, while supporting the various stakeholders in their beautiful region of the Swiss Alps. The company’s partners (bottlers, cardboard manufacturers, etc.) are located within a maximum radius of 300 km, while its main suppliers and service providers are located within a radius of less than 50 km.
These short distances allow the company to minimize its transportation-related emissions. This last point is an integral part of the second rule established by Naturalpes: to reduce its carbon footprint as much as possible.
To achieve this, they minimize waste as much as possible or recycle it. This commitment is also reflected in the company’s packaging, which is made from materials that are more than 80% recycled, as well as in the careful selection of office equipment and supplies, all of which are part of a sustainable approach.
The third rule implemented by the company is that all its raw materials must be certified by Bio Suisse. After all, to reap the benefits of CBD cannabis, it all starts with the soil and responsible, sustainable farming practices.
The fourth rule that follows Naturalpes is to use only natural ingredients in its products, thereby avoiding synthetic additives, preservatives, or chemicals that could harm the environment or consumers. Naturalpes relies on the natural properties of hemp to manufacture high-quality CBD products.
Finally, Naturalpes makes it a point of honor to prioritize the well-being and fulfillment of its employees by actively and thoughtfully attending to their needs, fostering a shared vision, and creating a welcoming work environment that promotes healthy and respectful professional relationships.
Naturalpes is proud to set an example in sustainable business practices, hoping to inspire other players in the industry to adopt a similar approach. By prioritizing ecology over economics, the company not only protects the environment but also ensures the long-term viability of its operations, in line with the growing demand for sustainable products.
