Reunion Island: The CBD Cannabis Cup Returns to Jardin Maniron on August 16, 2026

The Hybrid Department association is organizing the following event on Sunday, August 16, 2026: Second Edition of the Réunion Island Cannabis Cup – CBD Edition, which will bring together local producers, wellness enthusiasts, and curious visitors to explore CBD from Réunion. Join us at the Jardin Maniron in L’Étang-Salé, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Big Local CBD Event

The idea is simple yet ambitious: to create a welcoming, educational, and festive space centered around the local CBD industry—what the people of Réunion call “CBD péï.” On the agenda: producer booths, tastings, hands-on workshops, talks, and, of course, a contest to choose the island’s best CBD of the year.

The event is part of an initiative to promote local, responsible, and sustainable agriculture, with strong ties to the Réunion region. Among the partners already announced are the following brands: Kalibadia, CBD La Kour and Zerbaz CBD, which reflect a network of local producers that is rapidly taking shape.

A contest with judging by a panel and the public

The highlight of the day is still the Cannabis Cup itself: a competition among local producers to determine the best CBD from Réunion for the year. Holders of a Jury Package (€30) will have the chance to taste one gram of each of the six varieties in the competition and to cast an official vote. The winners will be announced at 3:30 p.m., following the jury’s deliberations.

The non-jury audience will also be able to vote, adding a participatory and popular dimension to the competition.

Schedule for the Day

It’s shaping up to be a busy day. After the doors open at 9:00 a.m., visitors will be able to explore the booths of Réunion’s CBD producers starting at 10:00 a.m., before a «Recognizing CBD Varieties» Workshop» led by an industry expert at 11:00 a.m.

At 11:15 a.m., the music begins with a performance by local and national artists. The lunch break at 12:30 p.m. will take place in a relaxation area featuring food trucks and a lounge area.

The afternoon picks up in intensity with a Conference on the State of the CBD Industry in Réunion at 2:00 p.m., followed by a workshop on CBD processing and the secrets to high-quality resin at 2:30 p.m. After the winners are announced at 3:30 p.m. and a second musical performance at 4:00 p.m., the day will conclude with cocktails and final tastings at 6:00 p.m.

Four ticket options

Admission to the event is free (free admission, limited seating), but there are several options to enhance the experience:

• Tasting Menu (€10) : 2 g of CBD of your choice + 1 drink + 1 cookie
• Jury Package (30 €) : 1 g of each of the 6 varieties in the competition + 1 drink + 1 cookie + a vote
• Exhibitor Package (40 €) : 4 m² booth + promotion in the association's publications

What next?

A Péï CBD & Wellness Fair has already been announced for the Saturday, October 24, 2026, with the same schedule (9 a.m.–6 p.m.), but this time with a broader focus on medicinal plants, herbal teas, and local 100% products.

Partnership opportunities are available for both events, with packages ranging from 150 to 1,500 €.
