Medical Cannabis: The third edition of Science in the City will be held in Paris on September 28 and 29, 2026
On September 28 and 29, 2026, Paris will host the third edition of Science in the City International, a symposium organized by Medical Resource Association which will bring together healthcare professionals, researchers, pharmacists, regulators, and industry representatives to discuss advances in the medical marijuana and cannabinoid therapies.
After the first two editions held in Bordeaux, the event is moving to the French capital, at a time when France continues to establish a sustainable framework for medical cannabis after several years of experimentation.
An international event at a pivotal moment
The symposium comes at a time when several European countries are accelerating the development of their medical cannabis programs and France is preparing to roll out its program nationwide. For the organizers, this new phase justifies holding a forum dedicated to the scientific, regulatory, and clinical issues related to cannabinoids.
The program will bring together international experts from the fields of medicine, research, pharmacy, regulatory agencies, and industry to address the sector’s key challenges: evolving clinical data, pharmaceutical innovation, training for healthcare professionals, patient access, and the integration of cannabinoid-based treatments into healthcare systems.
The event also aims to foster dialogue among the various stakeholders involved in the development of these therapies, at a time when precision medicine and plant-based medicines are playing an increasingly important role in biomedical research.
Paris, the scientific community's new meeting place
The choice of Paris marks a new phase for Science in the City. After two editions held in Bordeaux, the organizers hope to establish the symposium at the heart of one of Europe’s leading centers for medical and pharmaceutical research.
«The success of previous editions has confirmed the need for an international forum where science informs clinical decisions and collaboration accelerates innovation,» explains Charles S. Messal, chief operating officer of the Medical Resource Association.
For Timothy L. Beury, the association’s chief financial officer, the timing is particularly apt: «As France moves toward a sustainable framework for medical cannabis, there has never been a better time for scientific collaboration, physician training, and evidence-based debate.»
For her part, the founder and CEO of the Medical Resource Association, Kristen M. Beury, believes that «cannabinoid medicine is entering a new phase of maturity» and sees this Paris event as an opportunity to strengthen international collaborations in research, clinical practice, and patient access.
International Distribution
As in previous years, the symposium will be broadcast live as part of the program «Live from New York», allowing healthcare professionals and researchers in other countries to follow the presentations and participate in discussions.
Registration is now open. The event is intended for doctors, pharmacists, researchers, healthcare professionals, representatives of health authorities, industry representatives, academics, and patient advocacy groups interested in developments in medical cannabis and cannabinoid-based medications.
