Frenchy Cannoli

Frenchy Cannoli, real name Didier Camilleri, was born in Nice on December 13, 1956. As a young boy, he dreamed of traveling the Silk Road and sailing the Red Sea. At 17, Didier tried hashish for the first time and was quickly transformed. Since then, Frenchy has never stopped creating the best possible hashish, adapting traditional hash-making techniques to the latest knowledge about cannabinoids and terpenes.

Frenchy Cannoli has passed away July 18, 2021.

Didier Camilleri, known worldwide under the pseudonym Frenchy Cannoli, was an expatriate Frenchman who became the global benchmark for traditional artisanal hashish. Born in France, he spent much of his life traveling through the great cannabis-producing regions of Morocco, Afghanistan, India and Lebanon, studying and documenting ancestral hash production techniques.

The defender of traditional hash

At a time when the legal cannabis industry was focusing on modern flowers and extractions, Frenchy Cannoli took the opposite approach, celebrating the artisanal skills of traditional producers. He saw hashish as a form of cultural and artistic expression in its own right, threatened with extinction by the modernization of the industry.

He became an ambassador for bubble hash and ice-o-lator in Europe and the USA, giving workshops and lectures at the world's biggest cannabis events, including Spannabis Barcelona and the High Times Cannabis Cup. His mastery of sieves, temperatures and washing times made him an undisputed reference. A global influence

Frenchy Cannoli publishes The Art of Alchemist, a reference work on artisanal hashish production, considered the bible of the genre. He also collaborates with Californian brands and producers to introduce traditional techniques to the American legal market.

His YouTube channel and public appearances have trained an entire generation of artisanal hash producers around the world, contributing to a renaissance of the genre in legal markets.

His death in 2021

Frenchy Cannoli passed away on July 18, 2021 at the age of 64, following heart failure. His death provoked a wave of emotion in the global cannabis community. He leaves behind a considerable body of documentary and educational work, as well as a wife, Kimberly, who continues to keep his legacy alive through the Frenchy Cannoli brand.

His real name, Didier Camilleri, was little known to the general public - most of his fans and collaborators only learned of it after his death.
