Cann'Agri Expo 2026: Nantes confirms its central role in the CBD hemp industry
After three successful editions, the Cann'Agri Expo returns to Nantes on March 28, 2026 with a clear ambition: to establish itself as the must-attend event for professionals in the CBD hemp in France. This year, the event takes a strategic turn by adopting a 100 % B2B format, designed to further structure an industry in the throes of change.
Organized at L'Agronaute, As Nantes' urban agriculture hub, the show will bring together producers, distributors, equipment manufacturers and industry experts in a setting designed for networking and business opportunities.
Confirmed growth
The 2025 edition had already made its mark, with 300 companies represented, 25 exhibitors and almost 600 visitors. These solid figures testify to the growing interest in the Professional CBD in France.
For 2026, the organizers intend to capitalize on this momentum by strengthening the show's business dimension. Yann Maillot, founder of 808 Farm, and Thomas Rabaud, an agricultural engineer who has also worked for Ho Karan, are pursuing their goal of structuring a sector that is still fragmented.
A show structured around the challenges facing the sector
Cann'Agri Expo 2026 will feature several themed areas covering the entire hemp value chain:
- Producers' area flowers, oils and extracts from French and European producers, with a focus on quality and traceability
- Technical area Growing equipment (LEDs, greenhouses, hydroponic and aeroponic systems)
- Catering area CBD-infused food and beverages
- Art & lifestyle area artistic performances and live tattooing
This breakdown illustrates the diversity of uses for hemp and the emergence of a veritable CBD ecosystem.
Conferences and debates at the heart of current affairs
In addition to the exhibition, the show will feature a number of professional conferences, addressing key topics for the future of the industry:
- The role of cooperatives in international competition
- New growing methods, especially indoor and light dep
- The evolution of the European regulatory framework for hemp up to 2030, presented by the editor of this article
- An inter-union round table on the future of the sector
These exchanges should enable the players present to anticipate future market changes and regulatory challenges.
The Platinum CBD Cup, a showcase of excellence
The highlight of the event, the Platinum CBD Cup will reward the best European CBD productions. Several categories will be represented, including indoor, greenhouse and outdoor flowers, as well as hash dry and water hash.
This competition is part of a drive to promote quality and raise market standards, in a context where differentiation is becoming essential.
