Soccer fans will be able to bring their medical cannabis to the 2018 World Cup

The 2018 Football World Cup will be held in Russia from June 14, and it's certainly a first: fans will be able to carry their prescription drugs, including cannabis, cocaine and heroin. according to Izvestia, one of Russia's leading daily newspapers, reported by the Moscow Times.

Eurasian Economic Union guarantees travelers the right to bring substances prohibited in the country, provided they are accompanied by their travel documents written in Russian.

However, everything will be highly regulated: stadium security officers will be empowered to check the validity of prescriptions, all medicines will have to be declared in advance, and cannabis consumption will of course be prohibited in stadiums.
