Hemp bath balls: an effective relaxation method
It's possible to soak your body in weed! Canada's Lavish Bash Company, based in Toronto, has decided to put hemp bath balls on sale, in homage to the 4/20 news of April 20, a day to celebrate cannabis use. Bath balls are a real phenomenon on the other side of the Atlantic, and are beginning to arrive on the old continent. Mainly made with sodium bicarbonate and citric acid, this revisited version is designed with hemp oil and flour. The product is available for 10 Canadian dollars, or around 6 euros 60.
But that doesn't mean the product gets high. If they were to contain cannabinoids, bath balls would be more highly charged in cannabidiol, known for its relaxing and moisturizing properties, rather than THC. The company behind these bath balls doesn't communicate on the cannabinoid content, which is very low in mass-market products, but rather on the properties of hemp.
Cannabis oil is in fact a source of magnesium, when ingested, as well as helping to relax muscles and nourish and soothe the skin, for example with cosmetics.
Directions for use
The ball should be thrown into a hot bath so that it dissolves in the water. You should then immerse yourself quickly after dropping it in. If you wait too long, the substance becomes too fizzy. As cannabis oil is quite oily (and full of Omega-3 and 6), remember to rinse well afterwards.
There is, however, a downside to this product. Although the effects are soothing, bath bombs leave a chlorophyll tinge in the bathtub. A good scrub with bicarbonate of soda and vinegar will do the trick. A bit of sport after the comfort!
