The evolution of cannabis
The cultivation and use of cannabis have changed significantly since the plant was first discovered. When the China's first cannabis farmers and in Mongolia, when the first plants were grown, it was mainly for medicinal purposes. The recreational use of the plant is a relatively recent development, and cannabis cultivation has been transformed as a result.
Recreational cannabis has changed the way cannabis is grown
In this video, Dr. Christian Le de Green Earth Medicine, a California clinic that issues medical marijuana prescriptions, describes the various changes that cannabis cultivation has brought about. While there was originally a certain balance between THC levels and other cannabinoids such as CBD, current cultivation practices focus more on the increase in THC levels. The increase in the plant's psychoactive potential is primarily the result of recreational cannabis use over the past 50 years.
Today, we are seeing a renewed interest in medical cannabis, particularly within the scientific community, to study the various cannabinoids and their clinical benefits. Although there is still not enough research, an increasing number of studies are focusing on the medical applications of CBD, CBG and others CBDV.
