The Drip Drop, a yo-yo grinder
Drip Drop was founded by three artist friends in Berlin, Germany. Their flagship product is a blend of grinder and a yo-yo that's sure to turn a few heads while remaining very discreet in appearance.
Made from locally sourced recycled plastic and food-grade composite wood, the Drip Drop Yo-Yo Grinder can be unscrewed at each end. One side reveals the product’s grinding mechanism. The serrated design is very effective at grinding small amounts of dried herbs. The other side of the yo-yo can also be opened by rotating it to reveal a sealed container designed for storage. The yo-yo’s mechanism, which consists of a high-quality ball bearing and a 110 cm cord, is located between these two halves.
The item comes in a bright pink waxed paper bag, dotted with pixel-art sunflowers and adorned with a cartoon bee with sleepy eyes. Ultimately, it combines the practicality of inexpensive grinder models with a toy that may have left a lasting impression on some people’s childhoods.
The designers have also created a small brochure detailing several different ways to use and even wear the yo-yo as an accessory: for example, draped around the neck, worn over the shoulder, or hung from a belt loop.
And if you're already wondering whether this product might be right for you, it probably is! It's available on DripDropSolutions.
