A new technology to accelerate the absorption of cannabis by the skin
Partnership between Canadian cannabis producer Delta 9 and U.S. technology company NanoSphere Health Sciences gave birth to a new technology which revolutionizes cannabis consumption. Instead of being smoked or ingested, cannabis is applied directly to the skin using a novel technology that accelerates its passage into the bloodstream.
How does it work?
This new molecular technology enables cannabinoids directly through the skin or mucous membranes, guaranteeing direct passage into the bloodstream. The effect of cannabis is thus amplified and immediate. These absorption methods keep the molecule's active ingredients intact, avoiding losses caused by combustion or digestion. Isolated, muco-soluble cannabinoids can be incorporated into products such as skin gels, or administered nasally or intra-orally.
The advantage of these administration methods is that they meet the standards of conventional medicine, eliminating the risks associated with smoking or digestion problems. This technology is therefore likely to win the approval and trust of doctors, especially as it enables highly precise and reliable dosing.
From a recreational point of view, this technology promises a more powerful and longer-lasting effect, as well as a revisited method of consumption that may seduce with its novelty. Delta 9's CEO has reported positive feedback from consumers.
The plan is to bring these new products to the Canadian market. To this end, the two associated companies are currently awaiting approval from the Canadian Ministry of Health. If they obtain the green light from the Ministry, they intend to grant sub-licenses to share the technology with other producers, on condition that they meet their standards.
