Spannabis 2016 in Barcelona

The Spannabis from Barcelona is the world’s largest cannabis event. It brings together exhibitors from around the world (China, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and many others) representing a wide range of fields: growers, fiber processors, chemical engineers, biotechnology firms, greenhouse managers, industrial packaging companies, paper manufacturers, biofuel researchers, manufacturers of fiber for clothing, and more…

The biggest players in the cannabis market and the leading cannabis seed banks will be in attendance. Over the course of three days, 35,000 visitors will explore the many products on display, and will be able to, among other things, buy cannabis seeds.

What still seems like a dream on our side of the border is an extraordinary reality: the Spannabis Barcelona is celebrating its 13th anniversary and remains, of course, the most important cannabis event in Spain.

From March 11 to 13, 2016, the 13th edition of Spannabis Barcelona aims first and foremost to share the wealth of knowledge surrounding the plant, some of whose benefits can be used to alleviate diseases such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy. The Spannabis 2016 is not only a gathering of the world's best farmers, but also a gathering of European activists in support of the cannabis legalization the most passionate fans, from Amsterdam to Barcelona.

With the first edition having taken place in 2002, this 13th edition of Spannabis will be the must-attend event for many cannabis enthusiasts in Europe. The luckiest attendees (those who live in a country where cultivation is permitted) will be able to find seeds and plenty of growing tips from today’s top cannabis growers.

Alongside the exhibition booths, 16 expert speakers will present talks on the theme of change: changes in the law, but also in attitudes and stereotypes associated with a widely maligned plant. An awards ceremony will also honor certain players in the cannabis industry: best seed bank, best nutrient, best growing tool, best cannabis accessory, and… best booth!

By showing that North America isn’t the only region seeking to transform the world of cannabis, this exhibition offers a real opportunity to discuss in depth the science of cannabis, the cannabinoids, medicine, and the ever-changing laws surrounding cannabis.
