A weed oasis at Coachella this summer
On the bangs of Coachella this year, Weedmaps will be creating a veritable Oasis. This event will enable smokers to stock up on cannabis during the world's biggest music festival.
In order to comply with California's cannabis legislation, weed distribution is prohibited on the Coachella festival grounds. On the other hand, to supply its potential 600,000 customers, the giant Weedmaps,in coordination with the Talent Resource LCC, will set up a mini-festival 6 miles from Coachella.
The Oasis in the desert
Coachella takes place in the Californian desert. To compensate for the lack of vegetation, Weedmaps will recreate a veritable oasis, except that the plants can be smoked. This means that cannabis fans visiting Coachella will be able to take a relaxing break before and during the festival.
To welcome visitors, dispensaries and experts from California will be manning booths. Tourists will be allowed to visit two greenhouses to discover cannabis cultivation. But it's above all the 5 geodes run by dispensaries that will attract passers-by. Professionals are totally prohibited from selling cannabis outside their dispensaries. So GenX, Brass Knuckle and West Coast Cure will be distributing their products free of charge to anyone who asks. Whether in the form of space-aliments, vaporization or a simple cannabis cone, the Oasis will feed cannabis smokers who want to lighten up before listening to their favorite artists. Not that visitors will be any less thirsty when they leave the Oasis.
The magazine High Times specifies that the 6 miles separating the two events will certainly be heavily guarded by the police, who will ensure that everything goes smoothly. The festival will take place on the weekends of April 14 and 21, 2017.
And as Rohff would say: «An oasis in the desert, when you get out of the zezer».
